DIfference between Ford Fiesta Limited Edition and the Regular Fiesta (EXi/ZXi/Sxi/S)…

4 speakers (in Limited edition) instead of 6 (in EXi/ZXi/Sxi/S)
No ABS and EBD in the Limited
No leather wrapped steering wheel on Limited & EXi
No electic adjustable outside mirrors on limited
    No rear defogger on Limited
No programmable keyless entry & auto-relocking on Limited
No front fog lamps on Limited
    No airbags on Limited

I think you get what you pay, hence the stripped down version and the stripped down price

Shib, but still the deal is fantastic. The Fiesta is a very sweet handling car and the 1.6 litre engine is a hoot to drive.

I agree it lacks some of the features but it sure is a great value for money specially with added features like improved interiors, inbuilt music system and seat height adjustment etc etc… A classic sedan, great to drive car with 1.6l engine and over 100 bhp… I thought its a steal…

It’s available till June 20, onroad price is ~ 6.05 in Delhi.

Booked one last week and would be taking delivery today…

Hope this performs well and meets up with my expectations…

    Cheers

Kunal, the Fiesta at that price is a steal. Its the best car under 10L for a super driving experience. The handling, braking is just spot on and the engine is sweet.

Hi, After lot of thinking, finally I booked and bought the car. It is in first week of my usage and I will able to comment after a month or so. Overall Car is performing wonderfully. Interiors are wonderful and really value for money. only sceptical part is mileage and spare parts.
Let me come back on mileage after a month.

Kamlesh, the mileage is decent for a car of this size and Fords maintenance plan covers the cost of ownership. Congratulations on the Fiesta :)

Thanks Fas. Almost 3 weeks of usage and it is clocking mileage of 8 Kms per litre of petrol with AC on and very few stoppages. Dealer had already told me that average/mileage will improve only after first 2 services.
Overall good package and happy till now. Lets see…

Kamlesh, mileage should be somewhere around 10kmpl once you get the service done.

    hello sanjeev and Om,
Mileage is almost 9Kmpl of petrol. Overall experience of car is excellent except this mileage part. May be it is too early to conclude as I am yet to do the first service. Mind it – that ford cars do not have resale value and also spare parts are expensive. Though you may spend slightly less as compared to others, I feel if you have extra bucks one can go for Maruti or Honda. My choice was purely because of its initial value on investement as it was quite ok comparatively and I will use this car for atleast another 6-7 years. My first car, I had used for 11 years.
Om, delivery time was close to one month but that was during limited edition which was anyway lot in demand due to its sheer price. If you have really decided on Fiesta, I would recommend you to check on diesel version and it will save you from high petrol cost on regular basis. Flip side is may be Indian government is thinking on de-regulating the fuel price and hence the advantage of diesel may be lost.

The Limited edition is still available. Dealer told me that even the spares price has drastically reduced for these cars (except for Endeavour). This is because they have started manufacturing locally like all other players. Only Endeavour spares are still imported and hence still high price for those.
Thus, only the point of Resale value is now valid.
Frankly speaking the resale value price is dependent on the availability and pricing of spares. Thus that equation may also change.

    My suggestion.
I have been using this car for last 6 months.
Only big negative of this car is average. It hardly gives 8-9 km per litre. IF you feel this is ok, rest all are positive.
Dont know about spare parts but have heard lot of negatives about its cost. Overall I feel Maruti is the best if cost of ownership matters.

Kamlesh, spare costs of Ford cars is not that bad as people talk about. The company has made efforts to reduce the cost of ownership with many plans.

car is doing well and touch wood i have still not met with any surprises. Petrol prises will be moving upwords in coming months and years and would recommend to access your situation of daily run. this will pinch you in your routine life when its compared with other models. I do not have any issue on this model so far on the product per say.

      Hi Kamelsh , faisal
I intend to go purchase a 1.6 Ford Fiesta Limited edition from Mahindra first choice in gurgaon. The vehicle has covered 10,000kms and seems in good condition. Can you please give a feedback on the performance of this car after 2.5 years of purchase in terms of mileage and spare parts?
Your inputs will be very valuable for me ,hence please reply at the earliest..
They are quoting @3.6Lacs which seems on the higher side , please also comment
Anyother FORD 1.6 Limited edition users also request your veiws on the Car?

        Hi Jolly,

        Almost 2.5 years now.
Recently my Stearing rack (horizontal beam) had malfunctioned. It is hydralic and it has started leaking. The cost to replace would have been around 12-15 thousand.
Also my suspension had gone for a toss.
Both I think could be because of bad road in one of the stretch I drive. However this cannot be excuse as now days some other cars could bear the same brunt.

Overall as I said earlier, CAr is really good. Average really hurts and I strongly recommend to go for a either a hatchback like Swift Diesel if sedan is not a need for which running cost will be almost 30% of Fiesta OR a sedan like Swift Dzire where average is much better.

You may only have to compromise on Cabin interiors in case of Swift dzire.

        I forgot to mention..

Replacement of steering and shock absorber was covered under my extended warranty (i had purchased for 2 years costing 10K) and did not pay anything for the damages.

Thanks kamlesh for your inputs….how many kms have you covered till now ? mileage still rmeinas the same 8-9kms mentioned above or better/worse ?

yesterday i met a gentleman with a 2009 ford fiesta 1.6 duratech standard version ( not too sure if a EXi/Zxi)..he told me he gets around 11-12 with AC in gurgaon ….is there some difference in Limited edition and standard edition That you may be aware of ???

      • kamlesh Says:

It is the same car with extra features. Limited edition is actually EXI version with sterio and some electrical lights extra. No technical difference.

I am still getting 9 Kms max. gudgaon and Mumbai may not be same in road traffic condition and I think we need to speak in relativity.

honda city on similar road condition gives 10-11 Kms. You can check what is the general average for Honda and compare both.

I have driven about 20000 Kms (Twenty thousand Kms)

I have booked a FORD FIESTA CLASSIC 1.6L Clxi Petrol version. The comments about milage (9-10 Km/lit) are very discouraging. Could someone comment about the milage of this version? Is it worth going ahead. It is going to cost me Rs. 6.85 at Ahmedabad, including all taxes, RTO and handling.
