The new Ford Figo will pave way for re-entry of the company in the passenger car market in South Africa. Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa halted production of the Ka in South Africa 2 years back. The launch of the new Figo will provide huge opportunities to the company both in India as well as overseas. The Figo whose production started a few days back at Chennai, sees a $500 million investment by the American automaker.
