Honda Motorcycles India has plans to launch a 100cc motorcycle in the price band of Rs. 40,000-45,000. The new 100cc bike will be built on a completely new platform and will be positioned in the entry-level category. It is expected to be launched by the end of the current fiscal. Honda’s entry bike will be in premium category segment and will have a sporty look. The price gap between its model and Hero Honda would be marginal.

“We will be launching a completely new 100cc bike by the end of this fiscal. It will be a bit higher priced than the entry level bikes in the market now, but it will not be higher priced than the 125cc bikes,” said Shinji Aoyama, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycles India.

  2. fas Says:

Noufal, Honda is really following the strategy of overpricing its bikes as well as cars. This will really take them no where because Yamaha, Bajaj and TVS have some superb bikes in their portfolio.

Fas, some of my friends say that p200(older) is more appealing than p220…….!!!!! What’s ur opinion…….:-):-)???

  4. fas Says:

Noufal, your friends are right. The P200 looks much better than the P220. But the P220 is faster.

Fas, is the “clipon handlebar” is good or bad,,,,???my cousin’d a pulsar 150 with digital speedo. When he went 4 replace its handlebar the workshopmen said dat inserting clipon handlebars is not so good & it may leads 2 some problems….!!! R dey right???

  6. vishalk Says:

HONDA motorcycles are built of very POOR QUALITY. after buying almost all models(DIO,UNICORN,ETERNO) it is clear to me that all models are totally SCRAP soon i will replace all of them with a cheaper & best options
AT ANY COST I AM NOT GOING TO BUY ANY MORE HONDA even if they give it to me free of cost

  7. fas Says:

Noufal, yes they are right. Installing aftermarket may lead to problems. However clipon handlebar is a good feature. Clip-ons are popular on sport bikes, in which two separate short handles are attached directly to the fork tubes, as opposed to a standard one-piece handlebar attached to the top of the triple tree.

Fas, in some websites its seen dat honda plans 2 comeup with a new 150cc bike. Do u’ve any idea abt dat……!!!!!

  9. fas Says:

Noufal, yes Honda is planning a 150. There is nothing concrete on it yet but there have been news of the CB150 coming which is similar to the R15. I will let you know more once I get concrete information.
