Honda India’s small car which is scheduled for launch in 2011, will have around 80%in localisation of components. The company also said it expects the small car to sell in hot numbers, just like the City. The car will be rolled out from the company’s plant in Greater Noida. The company is also looking to increase the use of local components of its existing models in India to around the same percentage. While its City and Jazz have around 75% localisation of components, the Civic has 71% and the Accord 28%.

Honda can aim at volumes from this only when they dont pursue “Premium Pricing” policy…

Otherwise, this will be yet another fully loaded, safe and beautiful car from both inside and outside but which one would find hard to justify the cost…

India is not a market for 8 Lac hatch…It can be good buy for those who aim for exclusivity…

Bloody hell these guys. Jazz with 75% localization costs a bomb. They should drop the ex showroom price by atleast 1 lac and then see the volumes. All i20s, polo etc will go up in smoke.
