Honda India plans to launch the Jazz in June this year. The Jazz was snapped by team-bhpian max-bhp on the Greater Noida Expressway undergoing testing. Even though the Jazz will have 70% local content, the price will exceed Rs. 7 lakhs and the Jazz will compete with premium hatchbacks like the i20 and the Fabia. The Jazz will be launched with a 1.2 liter i-VTEC powerplant and is expected to set the sales chart on fire.

But whatever works in other markets, i doubt if it will work here in India. 7 lac for a hatch back! Thats too costly!

Indians are crazy abt Honda brand……7 lacs for the cheap hatch that has 70% of local content……? Indians will still buy as everything with Honda tag sells in India from generator, bike or car ….I believe if Honda put a price tag of 50,000/- on a shoe pair…It will still sell in here….

brand honda sells!! BUT i think volumes will be low if honda prices it 30-40 thousand more than i 20. in this segment numbers mean a lot and honda must consider it before pricing. a price of 6.25 lakh would be fine for a model with same equipment as i 20. we have to wait to see what honda thinks about its product as compared to the compitition

Its the good news that Honda is launching a small car unit which is important in this compititive world. Now here cost does matter at this point of time. Cost should be lesser than present car for maximum purchase. Hopefuly quality would be 100 % OK as per the Indian road conditions.

Lets see after it’s really launching.
