Hyundai India will phase out the Getz by 2011. We wonder whats taking them so long to phase out the outdated Getz. The diesel Getz is already phased out post the launch of the diesel Hyundai i20.

The company should think on the model before phasing out.Diesel model was a great but now they could have used the same engine of i20 diesel which would have been useful. Now the company should work out to fill the gap created by the Getz outgoing.For this they should price the i20 in such amanner that the gap is filled.

I missed this post and didnt see it till today – I think couple of reasons to keep it around are – people are still interested and buying it. Almost daily I see new Getz cars with ribbons here. Secondly as AN Jha mentioned they need something to fill the price slot – which I belive would be the I10 diesel instead of the Getz which they will definitely put to rest as soon as it is out.
