Not yet driven the i20 so can’t comment on performance but its said to be decent, nothing exciting, good enough for City but you have to work the gears. Fuel consumption is slightly lesser then the i10 1.2, that’s 12kmpl in the city.

Abhishek, Hyundai will put a 1500cc diesel motor in the i20 as they get excise benefits and can thus price it well :)

They(Hyundai) have done good by launching it at 1197cc. they’re gettin excise cuts on the car and some people can get advantage due to it. but they should have put a 1.4L petrol (n may be 1.6L diesel) engine in it as option for the enthusiasts like they do for the European market.
The car looks very beautiful to me.im lil biassed…:-P

Thanks for the photographs…Its a lot better when compared to the swift in terms of space and looks(Purely Personal), but I will wait for Hyundai to launch the same with a bigger engine…

You have summed it brilliantly Fas. The big car isn’t big without a BIG engine. It would feel so underpowered when compared to i10 due to its extra weight. Just big money … no big deal here :)
