I dont understand what the auto makers are thinking about Indian customers? How can Hyundai think that they are Honda? In west Hyundai is poor man’s brand. But in India they are a premium brand. Funny..
Saw the news that 2000 Jazz booked on just 20 days. I think this might be a hit as well. come on people.

Well comes as no surprise to me. Hyundai have done it in the past and are doing so now. They dont seem to learn from their mistakes. Suddenly this makes me realise how efficiently Maruti has been pricing its cars.

I guess they’re just experimenting with their strategy…it will have bad effects…maybe they don’t realize yet people now are wise…

All the new diesel cars in the recent past such as Fabia, Vista, Punto, I20 glorify Swift D in the following ways…its my take and it can be debatable..
1. Easy to Maintian – Compared to Fabia (Ref-Skoda horror stories)
2. Fun to Drive – Compared to Punto (Ref- Linear accleration in Punto)
3. Value for Money – Comapred to I20 (Ref – Only from pricing point)
4. Easy Servicability – Compared to Vista (Ref – Maruti is miles ahead)

Akra, you hit the nail on the ahead. Thats the reason why the Swift diesel is still the highest selling car in the segment.
