Hyundai Motor India Ltd has rolled out the first batch of the i20 from its Sriperumbudur plant in Chennai for European markets. Europe is the biggest market for the largest car exporter of India. Hyundai ships out 50% of its exports to the European markets.
The first consignment of 2,820 units will be shipped to the following countries in Europe: Britain, Germany, Greece, Austria, Croatia, Spain, Belgium, Holland and Hungary.
For 2009, Hyundai has set an ambitious export target of shipping its cars to 110 countries which would include Asia Pacific (Australia, Singapore, New Zealand), Latin America (Martinique), Africa, Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Israel, Palestine) and Europe (Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan) while consolidating its foothold in the current markets.

Looks really beautiful. Why cant hyundai launch this one in India? Its better to start a segment rather then always think about responding to the challenge. I guess Hyundai is loosing on that one.

Hyundai plans to launch the i20 soon. It should be launched anytime and will surely be a car worth buying.

i hope that the i20 will be launched in lebanon cause i think i will be the first to buy it . i like the design the shape and the interior but one point is that i hope that century motor company in beirut will bring the fully loaded car ABS airbags

Bassam the i20 is a global car and i am sure Hyundai will be launching it worldwide, including the US. Hyundai should be offering ABS and Airbags on the atleast one variant of the i20.
