Hyundai Motor India Ltd has launched an upgraded version of the Sonata priced between Rs 13.9 lac and Rs 15.9 lac as it looks to enhance its position in the bigger car segment. The new ‘Sonata Transform’ will be available in 2.4 litre petrol engine priced at Rs 13.9 lakh and 2.0 litre diesel engine with two options priced at Rs 14.89 lakh (for manual transmission) and Rs 15.9 lakh (for automatic transmission). The 2.4 litre petrol motor now delivers 175bhp instead of 165 on the earlier car. The 2.0 litre diesel now delivers 150bhp, up 8bhp from the older model.
“It is our endeavour to constantly upgrade our products. With the new Sonata we are looking to enhance our position in the luxury sedan segment,” HMIL Managing Director H S Lheem said.
The Sonata Transform gets a number of detailed exterior improvements and some major design changes in the interiors. Among the bodywork enhancements are the chrome radiator grille, wider front bumper and air dam, larger headlamp clusters, slimmer body side moldings and the newly designed 5 spoke 16 inch alloy wheels. The Interiors get wood treatment along with Blue LED illumination and a upgraded audio system, audio controls on steering wheel, AUX/USB i-Pod Input & Power Outlet and back up sensors.
This is a Hyundai Sonata, not a Honda Accord, i know they look quite alike now, don’t they?

well..well..well..so is this is the so called “sonata variant” was gonna launch this year??..the south korean brand has taken the care of the interiors..but what about its exterior looks??..damn… is this car really costs from 13.9lacs to 15.9 lacs…this car is just another korean crap…the only reason hyundai is struggling in this segment is coz of its these looks…as there’s better looking cars in this segment such as–skoda octavia,laura, volkswagen jetta,even the honda civic…even sonata’s ride quality is not an inpressive one…so why does a costumer should spent its money on a car like this??…damn..the hyundai might have launched an face lifted variant of this crap…if this is the variant which is gonna available for this year then, i am afraid hyundai should prepare for another struggle for an another year in this segment….

Sonata Transform has international looks with refined exteriors and interiors. The exterior resembles a limousine. and the price is also reasonable for the luxury car buyers.
