Motorbeam forum member Monu spotted two Hyundai Tucson cars being driven in Kolkata. The cars were accompanied by a white Santa Fe and sported Bhutan number plates. The Tucson’s run in the Indian car market ended several years back but the new 2011 version looks promising. The Tucson is a CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) and is much smaller than the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe costs close to Rs. 30 lakhs, so is Hyundai planning to revive the Tucson by launching it at Rs. 18 lakhs to directly compete in the highly profitable SUV segment? Our guess is as good as yours.
