Hyundai Verna

Just when we thought Hyundai has stopped copying designs of other cars come the spy shots of the next generation Hyundai Verna (codenamed : RB). Although many claim the design to be influenced from the Sonata YF, we feel it looks alot like the new Honda City at the front (sans the headlights). Coming to the rear, what strikes you first is the last generation Honda City type tail lamps. Anyways we are not really complaining and with the Toyota Etios sedan scheduled for launch in this segment by the end of this year, we expect Hyundai to price the new Verna very competitively.

OMG, who wrote this lame review???
The previous city’s rear was a clear cut copy of the previous BMW 5-series. Nobody commented anything then. And the front is a little like Ford, not at all like any Honda ever! But in the end, does it really matter if there are some design similarities? If the car looks like anything, I would say it looks like a segment leader!!!

Sahil, the previous City could be a copy and we did flame Honda for that. But copying a copy is no achievement, right?
