Land Rover has launched its most affordable model in India the new Freelander 2. The Freelander 2 is powered by a 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine producing 156bhp of power. and an impressive 40.7kgm of torque from 2000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gear. The SUV is available in three variants priced at Rs. 33.8 lakh for the S, Rs. 39 lakh for the SE and Rs. 45 lakh for the HSE variant, ex showroom Mumbai.
One of the most unique features of the Freelander 2 is the Terrain Response System which adjust the amount of power and torque depending on the kind of surface selected by the driver. The SUV is being targeted to self-driven owners due to the compact size and good agility of the Freelander 2.
