Toyota India had earlier said that it will bring in their Lexus range of vehicles as CBUs but has now decided to call it off. Although Toyota doesn’t have to do much as the vehicles will be imported, setting up a chain of dealership for the Lexus brand won’t be easy. Thus the world’s largest automaker has decided to focus its complete attention and resources on its small car project. Small cars account for a huge chunk of car sales in the country and Toyota doesn’t want to be left behind.

thats a bad news for a lexus fan,even if they bring thru cbu , they need not worry about the chain of dealerships separate for lexus, the can showcase their lexus models in toyota dealerships itself, as everyone knows toyota owns lexus, and start the operations. anyway better late than ever
