The latest SUV offering from Mahindra, the XUV500 has got more than 6000 bookings in just two days after its glamorous launch in Pune. The XUV500 was aggressively priced by Mahindra at Rs. 10.8 lakh for the base W6 variant. This is a phenomenal response garnered by any SUV till date in the Indian Automotive market. Mahindra has the capacity of producing 2000 units per month so by calculation, it is expected to get a waiting period of 3 months. However, the company has additional production capacity and may likely ramp up its production after seeing such a tremendous response.

Yesterday I visited Mahindra Showroom in Pune and there lots of prospective buyers….most of them was from rural area. Most of them booked white color as expected :-)

There was chaos like anything. Everyone was in queue to have a look of the car/ to sit on the drivers seat.

Two cars were on display one was Black W6 variant and another was w8 White color.

Kedar, there is no doubt that white looks the best on the XUV500.

Applause for Mahindra. What i really liked is the effort that went in during that 4 years of testing just to ensure that Mahindra brings out the best SUV to the Indian mass. I salute you Mahindra, perfect example for commitment to its customers.

I am going to look at the XUV up close in flesh tomorrow, booked a TD this Saturday. I just wish i dont fall with its handsome looks.

NOTE – I am not using Beaytiful :0)
