I have just wasted my afternoon visiting the local Nissan dealer. I phoned ahead to ensure the Pixo was in the scrappage scheme, it doesn’t have to be after all. However, when I turned up I was told firstly the most basic model is not available in the scrappage scheme and secondly neither is the ‘introductory’ price quoted in all the press. So basically if you want the £2000 pounds scrappage for your old car it will cost you £1750.
