Maruti Suzuki is on stock clearing mode. First with the Grand Vitara Silky Edition and now the Swift Glam Limited Edition. Maruti wants to clear stocks to make way for the Swift Petrol with the K12M engine. The K-Series engine has dual benefits, its Bharat IV compliant and the Swift will benefit from 4% excise duty omission. The Maruti Swift Glam Limited Edition is only available in petrol and only in VXi. It costs approx Rs. 20,000/- more than the Swift VXi. Maruti wouldn’t care to launch it in diesel when the diesel is selling so well.
Following are the features in the Maruti Swift Glam Limited Edition : -
- Integrated Audio System
- Beige Upholstery
- Keyless Remote Entry with buttons on the key fob.
- Rear parcel tray
- New wheel covers
- Dual Tone dashboard
- Body coloured outside rear view mirrors and door handles.
The Swift Glam is available in two new colours – Noble Arctic White and Goldsmith Black.

All manufacturers resort to “limited edition” or special edition tricks when they get worried sales of a certain model isnt going the way they want. Maruti is no different. People will buy it because of the novelty aspect and if they time it right get features that would cost them much more otherwise. Just waiting to see the price of it and also find out how many are considered to be “limited”
.

The word “Glam” in this LE swift means “Glamour”, But I can’t find anything “Glamourous” in this L.Ed. Swift “Glam”.
However, I liked those wheelcaps on this version, Looks pretty much like alloys to me(But still why no real alloys? ), I would like to see how does the beige interiors will look in swift.
These days, MSIL is introducing useless and “So-called” Limited Editions, First the Zen Estilo Sport with no frills, and now this Swift “Glam”!

It looks like marketing strategy of Suzuki is stirring some reaction. Only problem with it…many people would grab this opportunity instead of checking out other good options.
