Maruti Suzuki has set a world record by organising the largest car parade of the Swift. Maruti Suzuki has set a new Guinness Book of World Records by bringing together 342 Swift cars at a car parade in Gurgaon. Similar car parades were held simultaneously in Mumbai and Sriperumbudur but did not come close to achieving any world record. The new record is a victory for all the 4.5 lakh Swift owners is what Maruti believes.

Something very fishy about Chennai not reaching a record number. I saw cars with numbers of 600s on the track.

I was one of the participants in Chennai and in my opinion there were atleast 800 hundred cars in the parade. Unfortunately Maruti did not manage the crowd well and frustrated us and many cars left for want of communication and management. Infact except asking for an apology we did not see any action from the organizers.

I was one of the participants in Chennai too. There were close to 650-700 cars which participated, but the event management was so poor that the participants were made to sit in their cars stuck in a Jam for more than 2 hrs in scorching sun. To my disbelief, there was no exit and we were stuck in a jam of swifts. It was only after protests which looked to get violent that the organisers let us out. There was also a shortage of water for participants. It was one of the worst Sundays I’ve had. No more Maruti events I swear..

In Mumbai over 1200 cars appeared for participation, Maruti guys could not handle the crowd and actually ran away in the end after flagging off the event, without giving anything that was promised. It was a riot-like situation at the end of the event. Maruti guys really let us down. By the way I was at number 40, but still dejected, glad that I was a part of a huge event (which did not count and Gurgaon took away the credit, bloody liars).

@chintan few unruly drivers spoiled the party…But saw in swift twitter update that Guinness officials are still evaluating for Chennai and mumbai. You might be lucky as well

Swift is worth getting Guinness records dude!! I was lucky to see 100s of Swift cars in a single sight and viola, racing on track with swift cars crowded.. wow.. what a terrific adventurous experience, burning rubbers, screeching sound, and enthusiastic drivers. Everyone were happy with smiles on their faces.. I am a proud owner of Maruti Swift and I feel even prouder with The Guinness Record of Maruti Swift. Kudos to the organising team!!
Swift rocks all the way!!!
