Suzuki has delayed the relaunch of the new Swift in the States until next year. The Japanse automaker is working on a global product strategy with Volkswagen. The rise in the Yen has also forced the company to cut down on its marketing budget. The 2011 Swift will now see the light in the U.S. only in 2011 as both the companies (VW-Suzuki) are deciding the strategy and most importantly the price. However the delay in the launch has more to do with the strong Yen than anything else.

One Response to “Suzuki Delays Swift US Launch”

  1. Manoj Kumar Says:

When VW is not able to sell Polo in USA, how will they sell Suzuki Swift in USA. Suzuki’s reputation is so low for build quality and reliability in USA, hardly they are able to sell any car. Their big car (Kxxxxxxxxi) is a big flop too. On monthly basis, Suzuki’s SX4 rarely sells in 3 digits, whereas Hyundai Accent (Verna) sells in 5 digits every month. Only small car Honda has is FIT (Jazz), may be Hyundai will bring I20 with 1.4L engine!
