Maruti Suzuki has temporarily stopped production of the SX4 in order to change the engine, which would be Bharat IV compliant. The current Maruti SX4 doesn’t comply with the new norms which go in effect from April, 2011 in 11 cities in India. The new engine will be a 1.6 VVT powerplant producing 106bhp (9 more than current). Maruti will also give some cosmetic upgrades to the exterior to keep things afresh. The new SX4 will also come with an automatic variant which will give direct competition to other automatic cars in the segment like the Hyundai Verna and the Honda City. John Abraham will be the new brand ambassador for the SX4.

Maruti’s muscular Sx4 is a head turner, the 16 inch wheels gives great ground clearance, much needed for Indian road conditions. Sx4 has got powerful 1.6 L engine, which is much needed for driving it faster in highways. Also, the seats are comfortable and SX4 comes with lots of features. Sx4 is unbeatable sedan!!
