The all new 2009 Wagon R has been introduced in the Japanese market. The new Wagon R is based on a revised platform with a longer wheelbase that promises to improve cabin space over the outgoing Wagon R.
We really have no clue when Maruti will get this here, but looking at the declining sales of the Wagon R it wont be long before they do.

Jonson, Maruti will launch a new Wagon R soon. It will have a new engine and some design changes are expected as well.

Jonson, yes for India the gears would be on the floor and not on the dashboard.

oh i c i was jst goin tru da pics it has awsome quality man….i jst saw da boot space is seemed 2 be less than Current Wagon R or its still de same nd wat bout de engine would de engine be same or there would some changes

Boot space is same as the current Wagon R. Engine would be the new generation K series engine. The one which does duty in the A-Star.

Aejaz, Maruti will plonk the K-Series engine of the A-Star into the WagonR but only next year.

i am using now santro automatic but its parts are very costly and its mileage is low .now i want to wagon r automatic. please let me know the date on which date new wagon r 2010 model will be launched and itwill be 1100cc or less and what will be its average

Attar, the 2010 Wagon R will be launched next month. It will use the K-Series engine which does duty in the A-Star. Mileage is expected to be better than the current version.

current automatic model is having 3 speed automatic treasmission which is not comfortable whether the model 2010 will have 4 speed transmission like i10 auto or not . secondly its hight will be lower down for safe driving on highway

Also keeping my options open between Ford figo and mew wagon R
My heart says wagin R, as looks excellent with swift sort of front grill and good K series milleage

I dont think this is the new WagonR. I dont expect Maruti to make so many changes to the body shell.
