Nissan X-Trail

Nissan has been testing the new X-Trail in Maharashtra. The X-Trail really doesn’t sell much due to its high price and very little desirability. The high price can be attributed to the X-Trail being imported. We can’t exactly pinpoint on the exterior changes except a few minor ones, but there are major changes to the car elsewhere.

The new X-Trail is 180mm longer and thus bigger, giving better legroom then its predecessor and now has a boot space capacity of 600 liters. The instrument panel has been shifted from the middle (Indica Vista like) to the place where it belongs, right in front of the driver. The new X-Trail uses a variant of Nissan-Renault’s C-platform, also the basis for the Qashqai soft-roader. Nissan wants the X-Trail to take the fight to the Chevrolet Captiva and Honda CR-V. The current X-Trail uses a superb 2.5 liter CTDi diesel engine and if Nissan price it well I don’t see why it can’t be the pick of the segment.
