Premier Auto will launch a facelifted version of the Rio SUV in October, 2011. The company is working on the Rio update and has told us that it will be ready in the next 2-3 months time. The Rio would get a engine which would comply with BSIV emission norms. Possibility of the Fiat 1.3 liter Multijet engine powering the Rio is high. Expect better quality plastics and overall fit and finish in the new Rio.

I saw one doing the test rounds in pune. The car looks very smart. Sorry couldn’t take the spy pics this time.
This can be the best SUV in the mid size market.
But till they don’t improve quality it won’t help.
FAS are sure that Rio is going to use the same FIAT 1.3 Multijet Engine.
Please confirm.
Kedar, unsure but news is doing the rounds. Could be a possibility.
Hope they improve on the leg space for the driver/co driver as it’s pretty
uncomfortable for anyone more than 5 feet for long drives.
