Renault has launched a new variant of the Fluence Diesel. The new E4 variant gets all the features of the petrol Fluence. The Fluence E4 petrol and diesel now retail for the same price of Rs. 15.12 lakh but dealers are offering a Rs. 1 lakh discount on the petrol Fluence. The Fluence Diesel E2 variant is priced at Rs. 13.63 lakhs (all prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Fleunce has being doing average numbers for Renault and most buyers complained off lack of features in the diesel variant. With the launch of the E4 variant in the diesel Fluence, the sales are expected to increase slightly.
The Renault Fluence diesel uses a 1.5-liter common rail motor which produces 105 BHP of power and 240 Nm of torque. An ARAI certified mileage of 22 kmpl ensure that the Fluence diesel is a very practical alternative in the competitive D-segment. The new features in the E4 variant include rain sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rear parking sensors, dual zone climate control, rear AC vents and leather upholstery. Renault is expected to launch a more powerful version of the diesel Fluence soon.

Even Toyota is also selling 1.4 Diesel Engine (Corolla Altis D) at premuim price.
I think Fluence is the best option for Corrolla. If you dont like Fluence then Laura is the best option.
