Renault has aggressive plans for India with the upcoming Micra, Fluence and Koleos cars. However just like the trend nowadays of brand building, the company intends to launch the zero emission Twizy in the country. The Twizy is an innovative vehicle for urban mobility with four-wheel chassis and offers the driver and passenger an all-electric means of transport with zero CO2 emissions. At 2.30 meters long and just 1.13 meters wide, the Twizy can fit about any parking slot. Turning circle of just 3 meters can help you tackle traffic just like you would on a scooter. The 20bhp electric motor develops 7.14kgm of torque helping the Twizy to attain a top speed of 75kph. Acceleratation is similar to a 125cc bike and prices are expected to be anywhere north of 8 lakhs.

The vehicle seems to be a version of a scooter with cover and 4 wheels, but its cost is same as that of Honda City Car. Will any body purchase it? Ofcourse it can be kept in museum.

Can Indians who are not able to afford Rs.5.00 lac for a house buy twizy at Rs.8.00 lacs. The vehicle is good for Rs.1.00 lac.

i want to buy this car but price is a bit steep for my income……i would like to book this car…who knows i might get a magic lamp and thus the lacks to do the down payment……i loved the concept, went thru the write ups , renault is targetting middle class where 8lacks looks to be steep…think over!
