Skoda India has laucnhed the New Skoda Superb. The new Suerb is based on the Volkswagen Passat and gets a host of interesting and exciting features. The new Superb gets a 1.8L turbocharged TSI petrol engine which produces 160bhp of power and 250NM of torque and a 2.0L TDi PD diesel engine which produces 140bhp of power and 320NM of torque. The petrol TSI gets a 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox wheras the diesel TDi PD gets a 6 speed DSG gearbox.
The features in the 7 Star Superb include eight airbags including rear side airbags, AFS (Adaptive frontlight system) with corner lamps, Bi-Xenon projector headlights with retractable washers, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), ASR (Anti Slip Regulation)/ TCS (Traction Control System), EDL (Electronic Differential Lock), ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), HHC (Hill Hold Control), TPM (Tyre Pressure Monitoring), Parktronic – Front and rear parking distance control, triptronic manual gearshifting via paddles on the steering wheel, nappa leather seats, electric sunroof, 12 way electronic adjustable driver seat with memory, dual zone climate control, touch screen audio system and lots more. The new Superb uses 16 inch alloys on 205/55/16 tires. The new Skoda Superb is priced at Rs. 18,88,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
