Though a bit delayed than what was committed earlier, the Tata Indica Vista range has finally seen the light in South Africa. The car has been launched in 3 variants – Ina, Aura and Ignis. Tata Motors had teased us with the Indica Vista Ignis but it seems the car was for export markets and not for India. The Indica Vista range in South Africa is powered by two petrol powerplants with a diesel on the cards. The 1.4L 8 Valve FIRE Fiat engine is rated at 73 bhp and 114 NM. The Ignis gets a 16 Valve head giving a increased output of 90 bhp and 116NM. All the engines are mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.

All the models have AC, power steering, height adjustable steering, folding rear seats, child locks, rear window wash/wipe, rear demister and a third brake light. The Aura gets power windows and key fob-controlled central locking over the Ina whereas the Ignis comes with dual front airbags, ABS, powered mirrors, higher-grade seats and a four-speaker audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and remote controls on a four-spoked steering wheel.
