Mr. Narayanan Menon’s Tata Indigo Manza has achieved a mileage of 46.32 kmpl on 25th May, 2010. The report was sent to Limca Book of records and the test was done as per their instructions. Tata Motors acknowledged the efforts by gifting him brand new alloy wheels but have not taken any initiative from their side to promote this effort. Now, he is targeting a mileage of 50 kmpl and has applied for Guinness book of world records. The car is absolutely stock with no modifications whatsoever. However what is different is Mr. Narayanan driving techniques which helps him extract the best mileage out of any car he drives. We have verified the documents and it is indeed true, the mileage achieved is absolutely true and a eye opener to many.
What we would like to know from Mr. Narayanan are his driving techniques. This will help all of us conserve fuel and save the earth. He has promised to share with us his driving tips some time later. We also wonder what mileage he can achieve in lighter cars like the Swift and A-Star with his magic foot. Meanwhile we wish him all the best to achieve 50+ kmpl and get into the Guinness books ASAP.

This is a wonderful feat by an indian manufacturer. At this time of crisis, we need cars with more mileage on road. Hope the mileage remains the same.
It’s great thet people like narayanan have taken their time and schedule for the same. We need more mileage for more car segments and thus help our economy

I do agree that with a certian style of driving everything is possible. I am also expecting my manza in a weeks time and will try to acheive the same. Presently I have Indica Xeta 1.2 (Oct’2008) and the best mileage I have acheived is is 22.42 kmpl. and normally I acheive nore than 18 kmpl.

MANZA is a gr8 vehicle, its so spacious and even comparable to all type of sedan vehicles. i was glad to know its mileage, but i am able to get only 17-20 kmpl. Let wait for Naryanans tips and achieve the same .
