Sheroy, the engine looks quite small, actually it is but due to the rear engine mounting it will lead to more time in servicing.

I found this picture, that matches closest to the view of a Tata Nano engine.
Looks like it is air cooled.

Sheroy, I didn’t see the engine. Yes the engine needs to be accessed that way. Not that easy to access like a front engined car. Quality is not bad but its not good either, its average and that is pretty good for a car of this segment.

Hello Fas, thanks for the reply.Did you see the engine? From my knowledge, it is underneath the back seat, and accessed through the seat flipped? or worked on accessing from under, lifting the car ? Almost all the parts are made by good vendors, mostly European, and so the quality and performance can’t be bad, right?
From your picture, it says, simple and solid build and the interior has quality to it, I would say.

Sheroy, I haven’t driven the Nano yet but have checked the car out in person. The Nano was quite overhyped before launch, it didn’t really take off as much as Tata expected it to.

Thanks Fas, Since I am not located in India, very eager to know whats going on. Looks like Nano is playing a game of hide and seek.So, new Nanos are hard to see?Even dealers won’t allow to take pics or test drive?Have you driven one? Looking forward for new updates.

Nano comes with top speed of 106kph and can reach 100kph in 29.7 seconds. Now thats a decent peformance considering cars price. It has about one third of the usual number of parts.

2 Cylinder 33 BHP!?! I never thought I would say this, but I think I would actually prefer a smart car hehehe – I am curious how big those wheels/tires are!!! They look like they are 6 inch rims at most!!
