Tata Motors has launched the Xenon XT (Cross Terrain) in India. The Xenon is a 4 door, 5 seater lifestyle pick-up. The Xenon XT is priced at Rs 7.62 lac for the 4×2 version and Rs 8.58 lac for the 4×4 version, ex-showroom Delhi.
The Xenon XT is powered by the 2.2 VTT DICOR diesel engine with a peak power of 140 PS and a peak torque of 320NM. The same engine does duty in the Sumo Grande and Safari. Xenon XT also comes with shift on the fly 4WD system. The Xenon XT get loads of features like power steering, power windows, central locking, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), electrically adjustable side rear view mirrors, height adjustable seat belts, engine immobiliser, seat belt warning & door open warning, 16 inch alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.
The Xenon XT can be customised to suit individual preferences through a range of accessories which will be on sale along with the vehicle. Accessories include bed-liners, fog lamps, canopy, boot lid and rollover bars.
The Xenon is already being retailed in the overseas markets of Thailand, Algeria, Italy, Poland, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Tata Motors have already sold 6,000 Xenon XTs in the overseas market. This is the sixth vehicle launched by Tata Motors in FY 09.

ooh its really owesome , i didnt expected such class work with pickups would be launced in india. well i m using toyoto 4×4 pick up in africa , i loved it so much that i wished to bye one . But now tata xenon xt made me change my mind.

Sandeep, that seems quite cool. You seem to love pick-ups. What about the Ford F450, do you like it?
