Toyota has unveiled a new lightweight, sporty concept car inspired by the Corolla AE86 from the 1980s. Toyota says its vision of the future was both mean and green. The rear-wheel drive FT86 is said to handle like a race car and has low centre of gravity. The car is powered by a Subaru sourced 2.0L Boxer engine and will go on display at this month’s Tokyo Motor Show. The car is expected to do less harm to the environment than traditional sports cars.
