Toyota commands a high brand value and the bookings received for the Etios Liva are just proof of the same. The company launched its first hatchback in India on Monday and has already received more than 1000 bookings for the Liva. Although many find the Etios Liva overpriced compared to the competition and some also feel that quality is lacking, the car has struck the right chord with the practical amongst us. Space on the Toyota Etios Liva is one of the best in the segment and there is plenty of room for everyone (just like the Tata Indica).
Now 1000 bookings in 2 days equates to roughly 42 Etios Liva cars being booked every hour (factoring in a 8 hour workday). Some might say there is nothing to boast about thus but we need to factor in that the company has not launched the car in all the states yet. Thankfully though, Toyota did the wise thing of manufacturing 11000 units of the Etios Liva before the launch so as to not keep customers waiting. Bring the diesel and that figure can multiply a certain times.
