Toyota India would ramp up the assembling capacity of the Fortuner to 1000 units from next month on the back of growing demand. The company first increased the capacity from 500 units to 750 units then to 800 and now the current capacity stands at 950 units per month. The company also said it already has booking for 6500 units of the SUV and would be supplied after the middle of this year. Toyota has so far sold 3154 units of Fortuner in the country since its launch in August last year.
