2012 Volkswagen Vento Facelift Spied

Volkswagen will be launching an upgraded version of the Vento soon, which is expected to be launched by by the end of October, 2011. The Vento facelift will feature smoked out headlamps (as can be seen in the picture) along with other minor upgrades to the car to bring it on par with the competition. We spotted this car in Chakan, where it was undergoing routine tests around the Volkswagen factory. Although not much can be analyzed from the picture, we can definitely conclude that the Vento facelift is just around the corner. Could Volkswagen offer projector headlamps and other gadgetry to ward off competition from the upcoming Honda City facelift?

Volkswagen has already given the Vento a better audio system along with steering mounted audio controls and rear parking sensors. The Vento facelift will also have smoked out tail lamps along with the possibility of cruise control debuting on the car. New colours will be offered with the Vento facelift along with a small price hike on the diesel option. We speculate that Volkswagen might even launch new engine on the Vento, probably the fantastic 1.4 TSI, which has received many awards internationally. Or could Volkswagen do what Ford has done and downgrade the 1.6-liter engine to a 1.5-liter one, which could soon find its way in the Polo as well.

Apart form Vento, Jetta also will make its apparition in 2012. So be prepared.

since it i VW they just love milking customers. add steering buttons in top model , so remove security system to fleece indian consumers. guess what vw? we know a clever cheat when we see one. no thanks , try reducing prices by a lakh as honda did for the city…

Is this the same version which VW is launching, as face lifted, as i have seen the new face lifted in the VW showroom, but the new version does not have new smoked out headlamps as mentioned above, neither cruise control nor new colors… the only changes mentioned were steering mounted control, new music system (301 series), Steering leather cover, parking sensors.

Please update me on the this spied Vento, as I am about the book the car.

S Nikam, other than the Vento which Volkswagen is selling now. A new version is expected by the end of this month as well.

Thanks Faisal for updates. to make me understand a VW is coming with a new version with smokey headlamp and possibly with cruze-control by this Oct end…if that’s the plan, am i willing to wait for this period.
