
Suzuki has silently launched a variant of the SlingShot, dubbed SlingShot Plus. The Plus model features a visor which sits right on top of the headlight and in Suzuki’s language increases the style quotient. The SlingShot Plus is available in three variants (Drum, Alloy, Kick Start), (Drum, Alloy, Self Start), (Disc, Alloy, Self Start) and costs Rs. 1100/- more than the regular Slingshot. Suzuki has launched the SlingShot priced at Rs. 52,998/- (on-road, Mumbai). The Slingshot is based on the Zeus (which will be phased out eventually) and is positioned to fill the void that currently exists between the 100 cc and the 150 cc segments. The Suzuki Slingshot features a newly designed sturdy upswept frame construct with a longer swing arm coupled with a preload adjustable rear suspension and a race inspired light weight alloy, sharp edgy head lamps, an all new front fender design, convenient gear position indicator, BS carburettor with a Throttle Position Switch (TPS) and DC – CDI along with the Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system.
