Yamaha Ray NewsYamaha Ray is the first scooter which the Japanese company has launched in India. The Yamaha Ray is targeted at female riders and offers good city driveability along with splendid dynamics. The Ray scooter is Yamaha’s maiden entry and thus the company opted for a lower capacity engine in the interest of economy. The Yamaha Ray is powered by a 113cc engine which produces 7 BHP and 8.1 Nm, mated to a CVT gearbox. Yamaha believes the Ray will help them boost their volumes in the highly competitive scooter segment of India. The company plans to launch more scooters in the country.
