BMW has just launched the new X3 in India. Prices start at Rs. 41.20 lakhs for xDrive20d and Rs. 47.90 lakhs for the xDrive30d. The 2012 BMW X3 is being assembled at the company’s facility in Chennai. The old X3 was brought in as a CBU. The new X3 is offered with two diesel engines – xDrive20d and xDrive30d. The xDrive20d uses a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder motor which produces 184 BHP of power at 4000 RPM and 350 Nm of torque between 1750-2750 RPM. Remember, this is the same engine which does duty on the X1, 320d and 520d and returns a ARAI certified mileage of 16 kmpl on the X3. The BMW X3 reaches 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 210 kmph with this engine. The xDrive30d on the other hand uses a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder motor which produces 258 bhp of power at 4000 RPM and a mindblowing 560 Nm of torque between 2000-2750 RPM. 0-100 kmph comes up in just 6.2 seconds with top speed being restricted to 210 kmph. New BMW X3 Launch On 25th August

BMW India has confirmed the launch of the new X3 (codenamed F25) on the 25th of August, 2011. The German automaker will announce the price of the new X3 in Pune on the above mentioned date. The new BMW X3 is assembled at the company’s Chennai facility, while the old model was a CBU. This will help BMW price the X3 more competitively. The X3 will be available in two variants, the xDrive20d utlizes the 2.0-liter diesel motor from the X1 and 320d, producing 184 hp of power at 4000 RPM and 380 Nm of torque between 1750 and 2750 RPM. The 2.0-liter engine helps the X3 crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of 210 kmph. [click to continue…]

2011 BMW X3 Prices For India

BMW India has announced the launch of the X3 SAV by June, 2011. The German automaker will assemble the X3 at its Chennai plant and plans to price the SAV aggressively. Audi sensed it and launched a cheaper variant of the Q5 last week. BMW will launch two variants of the X3, the xDrive25i Petrol which will be powered by a 2.5 liter, 6-cylinder engine producing 210bhp of power and 246Nm of torque. The BMW X3 xDrive20i will be powered by a 2.0 liter diesel motor producing 175bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Both the X3 variants reach 0-100 kmph in around 9 seconds and can reach a top speed slightly over 200kmph. The BMW X3 xDrive25i will be priced at Rs. 41.1 lakh, whereas the BMW X3 xDrive20i will be priced at Rs. 42.1 lakh.

BMW To Assemble X3 In India

BMW has announced the local assembly of the X3 Sport Activity Vehicle F25 at the recently concluded press conference of the 6-Series Convertible. The company will launch the X3 SAV in June, 2011 and will import CKD kits to assemble the machine at its Chennai facility. The German automaker has invested Rs. 180 crore for the capacity expansion to facilitate the assembling of the X3. The BMW X3 will be available in two models, the X3 xDrive20d Diesel with a 184bhp engine priced at Rs. 41.2 lakh and the X3 xdrive25i petrol which will be priced at Rs. 42.2 lakh.

BMW X3 Launch This June

BMW India will launch the 2011 X3 Crossover SUV in June, 2011. The company has increased the capacity at its Chennai facility to 10000 units per year, helping them to assemble the upcoming X3 in the country. The X3 is being brought down as CKD which will enable the German automaker to price the car very competitively. The new second generation BMW X3 will be powered by a 3.0 liter petrol motor producing 240bhp of power. A 2.0 liter diesel will also be launched alongside with 170bhp of power on tap. BMW will price the X3 very aggressively at a starting point of Rs. 39 lakhs for the base variant. [click to continue…]
