Hyundai Elantra is a mid size sedan manufactured by Hyundai since 1990. The Hyundai Elantra was initially launched in its third generation in India. In 2012, Hyundai launched the fifth generation in India with drastic changes that include fluidic design, new interior and mechanical updates. The Hyundai Elantra is available in 1.8-litre petrol engine that produces 150 PS of power and 1.6-litre diesel engine that produces 128 PS of power. Both the diesel and petrol engines are mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The claimed fuel consumption for the Hyundai Elantra is 16.3 km/l for the petrol variant and 22.7 km/l for the diesel variant. The Hyundai Elantra comes with a starting price of Rs. 12.82 lakhs.
