Mahindra recently launched the Bolero Facelift. However the utility maker is testing something on the Bolero. We spotted this Bolero wit On Test plates in Manali. What could Mahindra be testing is still unknown but we speculate that some sort of engine testing is being carried on in this particular Bolero. Mahindra might change its focus on the Bolero as it has not got any major upgrades since the time of its launch way back last decade. Mahindra could be testing new electronics for the Bolero, with a launch set for the later half of next year.

Mahindra has launched the Bolero facelift in India. The new Bolero is available in three variants – SLE priced at Rs. 6.33 lakhs, SLX priced at Rs. 6.81 lakhs and ZLX priced at Rs. 6.96 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi for BSIV versions). The Bolero is powered by the M2DICR engine that produces 63 BHP of power and 3200 RPM and 195 Nm of torque between 1400-2200 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and returns an ARAI certified mileage of 15.96 kmpl.

The utility maker has given the Bolero an upgrade to both the exteriors and interiors and the MUV now features new headlamps, new grille, new bumpers, rear wiper, digital instrumentation, new steering wheel, new gear knob, aluminum inserts and wood trims, dual tone seats, driver information system, voice messaging system, engine immobilizer, body decals and micro hybrid technology. The new Bolero is available in six colours – black, silver, beige, brown, white and red. The vehicle has 215/75/165 tyres and a ground clearance of 180 mm. Mahindra offers 12 months, unlimited warranty on the Bolero.

Mahindra has been working on many things simultaneously. The world SUV, the mini-Xylo and the Reva range of electric cars. But that has not hindered the automaker from facelifting the most popular MUV in India, the Bolero. The 2012 Mahindra Bolero gets an slight change to both the interiors and exteriors. The exterior now features a revised grille which looks plasticky and grey at the same time. The front bumper has been changed too and the Bolero facelift now sports a rear wiper with a defogger (mandatory in the upcoming Central Motor Vehicle Rules).  No fog lamps or alloy wheels feature on any variant of the updated Bolero.

Mahindra has not left out the interiors in this upgrade and has improved them considerably. For starters, the instrument cluster is now completely digital and featured LED display for speedometer, engine temperature and fuel gauge. The new steering wheel now gets leather wrapping with aluminum inserts while the center console features wood trims. The plastic quality leaves alot to be desired from though. There are no changes to the engine and the new Bolero will be powered by the same Low-Cost-Common-Rail (LCCR) motor which produces 75 bhp of power and does duty in the Scorpio EX.

Mahindra has launched a special edition variant of the Bolero. The Bolero Special Edition is powered by the same old 2523cc DI Turbo diesel engine (no CRDe motor, we wonder why), which produces 63hp of power and 180Nm of torque. Only 1000 units of the Mahindra Bolero Special Edition will be produced, making the model a limited edition run. The Special Edition is priced at Rs. 80,000/- premium over the regular Bolero and comes with 3-year standard warranty.

The “Bolero Attitude” Concept is also available to Customers who already are proud owners of the Mahindra Bolero vehicle. The Customized component would remain the same for these vehicles as well. * Post registration & insurance, the vehicle is sent to Mahindra Towers, Worli, Mumbai for the Customization to be carried out
* The Customization process would take approximately 45 to 60 working days from the time we receive the base vehicle at Mahindra Towers
* Post Customization, the Customized vehicle will be sent back to the AO for final delivery to the Customer

* Pricing does not include the movement of the registered & insured vehicle to and fro from the Customer / Dealer Location. Any incidence during the transit would be borne by the Customer

Mahindra is considering increasing the manufacturing capacity of the Bolero as it sees high demand of the vehicle. The Bolero currently commands a 4-6 week wait period even in urban areas. Mahindra sells 70,000 units of the Bolero every year, out which about 75-80% of the sales come from smaller towns and the remaining 20-25% are from metros. Sources close to the company suggest the launch of a new model of the Bolero current model is 10 years old) along with capacity expansion at the Nashik facility.

Mahindra recently organised the Mahindra Bolero Mileage Marathonat Kochi. A total of 32 Bolero families participated in the event which was a special customer-centric initiative. The Mileage Marathon, covering a distance of approximately 58 kms, was a close contest with the first runner-up, Mr. James C K, clocking an average of 31.35kmpl, while the second runner-up, Mr. Jamseer T S, clocked an average of 28.79 kmpl. The winners received exciting prizes and all participants were entertained by a variety of special programs & events.

Mahindra recently launched the Bolero Stinger. Checkout the pictures of the Bolero Stinger, which looks quite cool. Only if Mahindra gave it the m_eagle engine, than the Bolero would really sting.

Mahindra has launched the Bolero Stinger. The Bolero Stinger is a customized concept which is based on the Bolero. Mahindra recently presented Indian opener Gautam Gambhir with a Bolero Stinger for his performance in New Zealand. The customized concept features a well designed bodykit, four large foglights and a massive air intake on the hood. There is also the uniquely stylized body cladding which gives the Stinger a wide stance.

Customized body paint along with special tail lamp bezel and rear roll cage lend the Mahindra Bolero Stinger a special look. Additional features include a premium MP3 player and a reverse camera with sensors. The Mahindra Bolero Stinger concept also offers custom fit colour co-ordinated interiors, customized floor carpeting and unique leather suede upholstery giving it an exclusive touch. Under the hood, the Stinger retains the 2.5 litre engine producing 97 PS and a prodigious 255 Nm of torque which gives the Stinger just about enough go to match its show.

Mahindra and Mahindra has launched a more powerful version of the Bolero MUV. The new variant – Bolero VLX CRDe – is powered by a 2.5-litre common-rail diesel engine that produces 97 horsepower and 255Nm of torque, thus making for improved drivability in the city as well as on the highway.

The Bolero VLX CRDe comes with power windows, AC, CD/MP3 player, keyless entry system, central locking and a two-year/100,000km warranty. The vehicle is priced at Rs 6.90 lakh, ex-showroom Jaipur and is currently available in three colours. The new model offers a quantum leap in power and performance due to an electronic computer controlled engine management system.
