Reva Plans Contract Manufacturing Plants

Reva is looking for partners in North America and Europe for setting up contract manufacturing facilities for its electric vehicles after having secured a deal for manufacturing electric cars in Iceland. The company which has presence in 24 countries across the world plans to double its overseas operations by 2012.

Reva Electric Car Company’s (RECC) founder and Chief Technical Officer Chetan Maini has revealed that the next generation of the electric car will be released in May. The car’s next generation lithium-ion batteries will give it a range of 120 km and it will have a top speed of around 80 km/h.

Reliance Digital To Sell Reva

Reva Electric Car Company (RECC), manufacturer of India’s first electric car, and Reliance digital, the consumer durables and IT arm of Reliance Retail, will partner to sell Reva electric cars at the Reliance Digital outlets, top officials of both the companies said.
