Sonalika To Launch Rs. 15 Lakh Sedan

Tata Motors has done it and soon Force Motors and Mahindra will do it too. We are talking about the launch of a Rs. 15 lakh vehicle. Looking at the progress Indian automakers have done, ICML (International Cars and Motors Limited) has decided to launch a sedan, which would rival the Skoda Laura, Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic and Chevrolet Cruze. ICML is the passenger vehicle division of the Sonalika Group (a company that makes tractors and engine components), which sells the Rhino (Toyota Qualis look alike). [click to continue…]

Sonalika Plans Assembly Plants In Africa

Sonalika Group is looking to set up two assembly lines in Africa through its International Tractors Ltd (ITL) subsidiary. The company is planning to produce tractors in the East and South African regions and is also considering entering Europe through the acquisition route. The company aims to double its exports to Rs. 800 crore by 2014 and has identified many countries including Tanzania and Kenya in the East and Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in the South for the proposed assembly plant.
