Which among the current crop of bikes do you think has the best exhaust note?

The exhaust note is one of the better reasons for creating addiction to biking. Somehow there has been few instances of sound engineering in Indian bikes. Which one has got your eardrums addicted to it - Apache RTR 180 or DUKE 200 or Bullet 500 classic or Pulsar 220 or Ninja 250R or Hyosung 250 GTR?

My personal vote goes to our very own homegrown beast - The Apache RTR 180. One of the rare bikes in India to boast such an effective sound engineering. Just love its growl. What's your favourite guys?

I personally like the sound of the Classic 500. The engine is loud and although the thump is subdued compared to the cast iron engine, it's still present.

Well, the thump of the royal enfields is legendary. But for Duke i get some mixed reactions.I ts exhaust note at low revs are more inclined towards moped!! At higher revs the picture changes but then at higher revs the picture changes with even the R15 v2.0.

The exhaust note of the Pulsar 220 is quite good too IMO. Although the Duke does sound quite racy at certain speeds.

Yes, but due to its pricing, its usually out of contention. Its after all a twin-cylinder motorcycle.

Sorry, a newbie here, but what exactly are exhaust notes? Is it the sound coming out of bike when revving it or is it when riding it at a constant speed? If it is so, the my vote goes for Royal Enfield CLassic. There is an instant respect for the bike whenever I see passing it by.

Its actually both, from the exhaust whether the bike is running or idling.
