Is India ready for Electric Bikes & Scooters

It's been nearly two years since the first EV Electric Scooter was launched by. Korean electric bike company in india.
Now the idea of electric scooters have clicked for the following reasons such as
    A. Noise Free & Easy to maintain.
    B. Cost is less & economical to run.
    C. No fuel required. Can be charged over night.

So many people including college students want one & easy to maintain & the only drawback is they are not good for long journeys. Since battery runs out & can be used only cities or small towns.

I think the trend is catching up. What you say guys ?

Trend is definitely catching up but at snail's pace. Currently electric bikes are not selling and Hero Electric is doing below average numbers. Till the time we don't get better electric supply and subsidies for EVs, the situation is going to remain more or less the same.

I want ot buy an electric bike. The scooters I like are the Ezip 500, and the Ezip 750. They both can go about 17mph with my weight. The ezip 500 only has an 8 mile range. The Ezip 750 has a 12 mile range but is more expensive. I am trying to decide if I might like an electric bike better(I'm a guy so i don't know if that might look weird). It goes the same speed as the scooters and has a 15 mile range. I only will go on short 5 mile rides. I love how the scooters ride but the bike goes farther. Which one would be easier to maintain. Are there any other electric vehicles UNDER 400$. Are there any other brands. What is best for me? I am little confused about that. please guys post your suggestion. All posts are highly appreciable. Please i need your ideas guys.

Actually the electric scooters are more common among teems here as they did not require license and as they don't have very high speeds becouse of which parents also don't worry much
This is the scene in Delhi

In Mumbai, its quite opposite. People want fast looking motorcycles, even if they don't exploit 10% of its capability.

Actually people here prefer petrol for,it's higher speeds and longer range but as electric scooters are cheaper to buy and maintain they end up buying that

Can't really comment on cheap maintenance of electric scooters just yet. Battery replacement can be quite expensive.

But still they are long time maintenance price rather than the annual maintanance of noramal bikes/scooters which can be at times really high
