Rise of the Luxury LifeStyle SUV's

Gone were the days where cars needed roads to move. But hey what about Make your own roads still travel in Luxury !

I think this trend was started by Shieks in Dubai, who wanted to travel through Desert on Sand in Luury, May be because they thought Riding Camels were boring. So their requirement was Fulfilled by Range Rover Luxury SUV. Which is selling like Hot Cakes even today !

So what now ? A decade ago Military grade Hummer Came it revolutionied the whole scene. That's when King of Saudi Arabia thought they want their own Suv that's when Ghazal 1 Suv was born.

So many auto companies thought what the hell we'll also make one. As a result Many are coming soon even Global recessition have not dampen their Spirits ! Some upcoming cars are :
    1. Audi: Q7/Q8/Q9
    2. Bentley EXP 9
    3. BMW X6/X7/X8
    4. Jaguar SUV
    5. Lambourghini URUS
    6. Mercedes Benz G55 AMG
    7. Range Rover Evoque L.

Only question remains are they worth it ? Can they really live up to their names !

While the requirements have been of making your own road with an SUV, the trend says otherwise. Not many (not even 10%) of SUV owners actually take their cars off-road. The reason why SUVs are so much in demand is because they have a commanding seating position, butch looks and more boot space.

Well, most of the upcoming cars are Soft Roader though people are going to treat them as off-roader.
I agree with Fas, hardly people take their car for off roading and well the owners can't be completely blamed for it! Are their any roads in India which is safe for off roading? Hardly 2-3!

Actually bigger automobile companies should arrange off-roading events like Mahindra and Tata do.

If I have to comment to the this topic, my answer would be YES. They are simply worth it. If I earn more than 5 Crore a year I would not mind each one of these in my garage. Its a status symbol for me. I would at least exchange my old ride for a swanky plush new wheels, If my thinking is modest with the same income.

Most of the people who consider these rides have more or less in the above category or we call them HNI. Hence no matter what year it is and what market it is. These cars will sell in India. (Slightly different perspective)

Yes, but was it for owners as well? Also it should be in various regions. Like Mahindra and Tata have events throughout the year. One can't go to Leh always. Audi too needs to have more events in major cities.
