    Maruti Suzuki Or Hyundai?

Guys, The Indian car market is leaded by Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motors India. Both the companies are pretty old now and have created some excellent products. So, which brand do you like or prefer more out of the Two?

I prefer neither. I would rather pick up Honda (for petrol cars) and Volkswagen (for diesel cars). It also depends on which segment we are talking about.

I am not going select any option mentioned in above poll. Personally I hate Korean and Japenese cars. (Mitsubishi, Honda and Mazda are exceptions)

    Reason:
    1) MSIL & Hyundai both of them has soft suspension set up which affects the ride and handling.
    2) Poor tyre profile
    3) Poor build Quality (Thud sound missing in both, Thin Metal sheet used)

I will prefer Honda for petrol cars and FIATs for diesel cars and diesel engines more than 2000cc I will prefer Mahindra. (If I want to select Indian company only)

Well, guys I was just talking about these two brands as demand for their cars is the highest in the Indian car market. So, out of these two which manufacturer is better!
My pick, would be Hyundai as they offer quality products. The quality in their car is pretty good, loads of equipment and they know the art of pricing and advertising the car. Hyundai have brilliant engines and all have proven themselves in the long run.

Depends on the products also. I would pick Swift over i20, SX4 over Verna but i10 over A-Star and Eon over Alto.

Verna is car with many issues
    1) Extremely bad suspensions , poor quality of bumpers and contrary to public perception Hyundai cars are expensive to maintain. Steering rattling issues have already started comming up slowly .great sales dosent mean great car . Incase of vernas sales it is great looks+ herd mentality = great sales.

Sx4 is a honest car it looks dated now but is a no- nonsense car and not fragile like the verna.

Hyundai scores on looks , but I doubt a guy who loves driving would love a Hyundai car , they are good decorated cars for point a to point b driving . They have great powerful engines but the car and it's chasis can't handle it good .
Iam not fan of both the brands but I voted maruti since you asked to chosse one only between 2 .

Rav you are absolutely correct about Verna. On bad road Verna looks like a boat sailing on water, no offense to Verna owners.

I think Rav put it very well. While Hyundai has mastered design, engine, features, etc, they are still far away on driving dynamics. The Verna, i20 and all Hyundai vehicles have very poor handling. The steering is too light, no feel, no feedback. Good for city but not for the highway.

I agree on that, Hyundai cars are not that good for highway usage though they are excellent in city driving conditions!
