The 2013 Geneva Motor Show is one of the most prestigious and important event for automakers across the globe. Most companies stretch their launches so as to be able to debut their cars and concepts at the Geneva Auto Salon. The event for the year 2013 began on the 5th of March and continues upto 17th March. And the world already has two of the most discussed cars online seen at the Geneva Auto Show for 2013. Topping the charts in two different categories is the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Ferrari LaFerrari.

Volkswagen unveiled the seventh generation of the compact Golf as the GTI version. The Golf GTI listed on top of Geneva Web Winners earning 7.0 percent of overall media discussion and stories covering the event. In another category considering regular people discussing the show online over social media, the Ferrari Enzo successor, LaFerrari was on top of consumer popularity. Second to the Volkswagen Golf GTI in the media category is McLaren P1 with 5.4 percent followed by Alfa Romeo 4C with 4.3 percent. The Laferrari finds fourth spot in the media category with 4.1 percent popularity.

The Mclaren P1 is second on the consumer popularity also with 3.8 percent. The Golf GTI is third on this list with 3.6 percent. The 3-limit hypercar Lamborghini Veneno finds fourth spot with 2.72 percent. The cars listed seem quite justified to earn their respective popularity because each one of them stands unique in their own way. LaFerrari will be Ferrari’s new flagship model and only 499 units of this 949 BHP beast will be made each with a price above 1 million Euros (Rs. 7 crores). The Lamborghini Veneno is the new aggressive, extremely styled and aerodynamic raging bull from this Italian sports carmaker.
