In its attempt to further its vision of moving towards environment friendly alternative fuels, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has set up 2,200 PUC (Pollution under Control) check-up camps in 256 cities across the length and breadth of the country. The initiative is in partnership with Society for Automotive Fitness & Environment (SAFE), with an objective to check more than 50,000 vehicles this year, and will also organize regular PUC & Inspection Certification camps for in-use vehicles in various parts of the country.

The camps will also educate and enlighten vehicle owners aware about the importance of safe vehicles and clean environment. Furthermore, the Indian auto industry is also jointly working with the government on a project to mix hydrogen and CNG for a cleaner and more efficient fuel option for vehicles on the roads.

This is really a great move by SIAM to save environment and educate vehicle owners/drivers about it.
Can you guys please provide the venues of these camps in metro cities?
I’m sure more people will come forward for this. :)

Regards,
TAI Team.

Absolutely a very good move and many would benefit from this. This can also help our health not just the environment. So, kudos to SIAM! :)
