The Maruti Swift is a tuners delight with a high range of modifications available and when Audio companies want to show off their portfolio, the Swift doesn’t let down there either by being an excellent demo car. JBL has the Swift Twins (check them out here) and at the 2010 Auto Expo Rockford Fosgate had showcased an insane audio system in a modified Swift. The audio system is equipped with PUNCH Series speakers, Rockford Fosgate Wiring and Capacitors etc. All this costs Rs. 4,00,000/- and the rest of the car modification along with the free hand paint job costs Rs. 6,50,000/-. The car was done up by AGM Technologies in Delhi.

The equipment used in the Bass Devil (that is what the company has named the car) is as follows : -

The Tata Nano made huge waves at the last Auto Expo when it was unveiled for the first time. This year Tata Motors has launched two special editions of the worlds cheapest car – Nano for him and Nano for her, based on the top of the line LX variant. Nano for her is painted in xocktail red with floral patterns on the door and the bonnet. Whereas the Nano for him is painted in wild Lime with leather seats and leather door pads.

The theme continues in the interiors too, with similar colours used on the seats, door pads and the center console. It is also features stop-start  mechanism (Chevrolet Cruze style).

We just concluded our coverage of the 2010 Auto Expo, which was a fantastic extravaganza of the most happening automobiles in the country. With more than 80 posts and close to 800 pictures, the Auto Expo has kept us on our toes. But we are glad we could make the readers feel as if they were present at the Expo themselves. The 2010 Auto Expo was a huge success, with participation from almost every global and local car maker. A few cars (like the Toyota Etios and Honda Brio) made their world debut at the Expo as well. The Auto Expo was organized by CII, SIAM and ACMA and they did a fantastic job of putting up an amazing show. The 2010 Auto Expo turned out to be a huge event. There were so many participants that it is not possible for us to cover all of them in detail. We covered all the cars and bike manufacturers but if we get into accessories we would be writing about the Expo almost for a couple of months. Many leading magazines had their stall at the Expo and had some supercar to display. There were also alot of buses, trucks and Audio companies with amazing demo cars.

Mahindra & Mahindra had one of the biggest displays at the Auto Expo, comprising of its 2 wheeler (read more here), 4 wheeler and Navistar truck division. We won’t say much and will let the pictures do the talking.

Volkswagen stall at the Auto Expo was one of the most anticipated one, mainly because the Polo (read more here) was being unveiled for the first time to Indians. Other then the Polo and the Polo Race edition, VW unveiled the Phaeton and showcased its current line-up of cars and engines.

The Tata Aria will be available in 3 variants when it is launched in June this year. The beige Aria is the base variant, the maroon is the mid variant and the purple Aria is the top variant. All the variants get alloy wheels and audio controls on steering wheel, however an official confirmation on the features is still awaited. At the largest stand alone luxury pavilion at the 10th Auto Expo 2010, Mercedes-Benz unleashed “Pure Fascination,” a theme that highlights its participation at the Auto Expo 2010 and points the way to the company’s strategy in the near future for Indian market. The portfolio cars from the Mercedes stable displayed included the new C 250, the new E 350 and E 350CDI, and the AMG range of performance cars. Also showcased were the yet to be launched M-Class Luxury edition as well as the E-Coupe. The SLS “AMG Desert Gold” along with the S 500L and the GL 350CDI were unleashed with Concept Fascination (read more here) being the biggest attention grabber.
