Peugeot Citroen is recalling 97,000 cars in Europe because of problems with a sticking accelerator pedal. The recall is similar to the one made by Toyota last week. Peugeot has begun evaluating locations for its car project in India. It has kicked off negotiations with the Andhra Pradesh government that has offered to allocate around 800 acres of land near Hyderabad. PSA Peugeot Citroen is charting a quiet re-entry into India. The e34.6-billion French auto major is interested in both sourcing components as well as setting up a production base in India, said a company official. Peugeot Citroen is among the few global automobile companies that does not have a full-scale presence in India yet.
