The next version of the famous VW Golf has been officially revealed. Better Known as the Golf VI, this Golf looks more like a facelifted version of the previous Golf with a pair of VW Scirocco headlights and VW Touareg tail lamps than an all new model. The interior is also not all that new with the only difference being that VW has given it some more soft touch plastics.

However looks aside Volkswagen claim it to be the quietest Golf of all times. This model will be the first Golf with adaptive chassis and automatic distance control. There will be a wide range of engine options available along with 6 or 7-speed DSG dual clutch semi automatic transmission.

The car will initially be launched with two 2.0 liter TDI units with 110 and 140 PS followed shortly by a 170 PS version while the petrol engine range will consist of two naturally aspirated units developing 80 and 102 PS along with two TSI engines with supercharger and/or turbocharger producing 122 and 160 PS. However we will be more interested in the R32 successor and the GTi, who wouldn’t be?
